The Muse is a creative and inspirational figure, often portrayed as an ethereal being that influences the artist or creator. Angelica Schuyler perfectly fits this role, as she is a highly creative and free-spirited woman who encourages and inspires both Alexander Hamilton and her sister Eliza.
The Wife is the supportive and faithful partner, standing by her man through thick and thin. Eliza Shuyler is the epitome of the loyal wife, standing by Hamilton’s side even when he has an affair with Maria Reynolds.
The Whore is the sexualized and often manipulating woman, using her body and sexuality to get what she wants. Maria Reynolds is the perfect example of the Whore, as she uses her sexuality to lure Hamilton into an affair and then tries to blackmail him with the information.

Cornelia was born in 1776, the year the American colonies declared their independence from Great Britain. She was the fourth of eight children born to John Schuyler, a wealthy landowner and member of the New York State Legislature, and Catherine Van Rensselaer, the granddaughter of one of the largest landowners in the state. Cornelia was considered beautiful and witty, much like her oldest sister Angelica. She married Stephen Van Rensselaer III, heir to one of the largest fortunes in America, in 1799. The couple had four children. Cornelia died in 1808, at the age of 32.
