You shouldn’t expect to see Maleficent 3 before 2024, at the earliest, because it hasn’t even been officially announced yet. The original Maleficent came out in May 2014, and the sequel in October 2019, so it may be a while before we see another installment in the franchise.

I think it’s unfortunate that Disney+ is removing titles from its library, particularly Maleficent. I understand that there are existing contracts that may be the cause of this, but I hope that those will expire soon so that we can enjoy these titles again. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping an eye out for any announcements of when Maleficent and other removed titles will be returning to Disney+.

It’s official: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will never be available to stream on Netflix.
Now that Disney has its own streaming service, all of its movies will go straight to Disney+ and probably stream there exclusively in perpetuity.
This is a major bummer for Netflix subscribers who were hoping to catch the sequel to the 2014 live-action retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story. But it’s not entirely surprising, given that Disney has been pulling its content from Netflix for months in preparation for the launch of Disney+.
So if you want to see Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, you’ll need to sign up for Disney+ when it launches on November 12. Fortunately, it’s not too expensive – you can get a year-long subscription for just $69.99.
